IGP MÉDITERRANÉE – VIOGNIER – White – 2018
The Viognier varietal originated in the northern Rhône Valley and was acclimatised in the VMV vineyard, on the south-facing slopes of Mont-Ventoux, at the end of the1990s. Rocky plots with a naturally limited yield, situated at altitudes of 250m to 400m above sea level, were carefully chosen because this noble varietal is extremely sensitive to the terroir. Around 25 hectares are currently in production.
The crystal clear, pale yellow colour of this cuvée is embellished by appealing glints of silver. It is a harmonious and fruity wine with great aromatic depth. The expressive nose is a festival of exotic fruits: lychee, passion fruit, and papaya. It has lovely roundness and great balance: powerful and elegant, with controlled acidity. A real explosion of flavours on the palate and fabulous freshness.
